I bear the weight of the world

All my hope comes crushing down
Like a ship on roaring seas
Endlessly against the stream
To never let my past release

Pictures fading with the tides
Just like the ones that i held dear
Fragments of my former dreams
Now tragically disappear

No shelter or a place to rest
No anchor in a raging storm
A strange conviction fills my bones
To brave the pain and face the scorn

This fragile conscience seems awake
Yet sinks to insignificance
The weakness dwells in every limb
As perseverance lost its sense

I kneel before the cold embrace
And watch myself in shattered glass
The wreckage of a wasted life
Reflecting just a bleak mirage

Stagnation is the death of change

I write these words full of regret
Below this blackened sky

The body aches with every move
My shoulders are about to crack
Vanity and selfishness
Build the burden on my frail back

With broken hands, i try to climb
Up the mountain of oblivion
I drag myself through barren soil
Though my feet reject to carry on
